Positioned inside Victoria's largest and most famous recreation and campground zone, the store serves as the exclusive, vital retail and hospitality hub for more than 500,000 local, interstate, and international tourists annually.

The venue is being completely modernised to feature an amazing selection of retail products, grocery essentials, and an improved food offering with a cool, vibrant atmosphere - all while beautifully retaining the beloved nostalgia of the iconic structure.

We are seeking an energetic, commercially minded, and hands-on Assistant Store Manager to help lead our dynamic team in delivering premium convenience and an exceptional visitor experience in this freshly upgraded venue.

About the role

Supporting the General Manager Operations, you will step into a pivotal leadership position where no two days are the same. you will balance commercial acumen with active people leadership to ensure the seamless running of our grocery, retail, clothing, food & beverage, and postal operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• People Leadership: Plan workforce requirements, manage digital rosters, and conduct engaging team briefings and performance development.

• Frontline Excellence: Lead by example on the floor during peak seasonal periods—seamlessly stepping into retail, food prep, or barista-standard coffee service to support your team.

• Commercial Drive: Compile and analyse sales reports across all departments to identify trends, manage product costs, and optimise store profitability.

• Store Presentation & Ambience: Proactively maintain an inviting, high-energy holiday vibe inside our newly refurbished store, collaborating with the Retail Operations Specialist on visual merchandising and meticulous stock presentation.

• Operational Compliance: Execute daily opening/closing procedures, perform financial reconciliations, oversee the integrated Australia Post outlet, and maintain pristine Food Safety Records.

• Emergency Management: Act decisively in collaboration with the GM/Emergency Management Team during active events.

About You

To thrive in this remote, high-volume environment, you will be a resilient, self-sufficient leader who is comfortable balancing shifting seasonal priorities.

Our Essential Requirements:

• Proven Leadership: Experience supervising, leading, or mentoring a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Customer Focus: Extensive experience in high-volume customer service, retail, or hospitality operations with strong conflict-resolution skills.

• Advanced Digital Literacy: High proficiency using Microsoft 365 and modern cloud-based workforce management software (e.g., Microkeeper), with the confidence to troubleshoot POS and basic ICT issues.

• Financial Handling: Solid experience executing retail cash reconciliations and processing high-volume EFTPOS transactions.

• Remote Readiness: A genuine desire and capability to live and work harmoniously in a remote regional area within a small, close-knit team.

• Compliance & Checks: A current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain within 21 days), a Working with Children Check, a First Aid Certificate, and a preparedness to undergo mandatory Australia Post security background checks.

We are seeking enthusiastic, high-energy, and friendly Casual General Store Attendants to join our close-knit summer team. Whether this is your very first job or you are an experienced hospitality/retail worker, we want your positive vibe on our floor!

About the Role

Working under the guidance of our store leadership team, no two days are the same. You will demonstrate your flexibility by working across the retail floor, barista stations, and takeaway food services to keep our visitors smiling.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Frontline Customer Service: Greet visitors warmly, operate our fast-paced POS system, and accurately process high-volume cash and card transactions.

• Food & Barista Service: Make delicious coffees, hot beverages and shakes to a high standard, and prepare takeaway food while keeping your workspace sparkling clean.

• Retail Merchandising: Keep our retail goods, grocery shelves and cabinets beautifully stocked and faced to ensure a premium look that drives sales.

• Teamwork & Cleanliness: Participate in daily team handover briefings, and take pride in keeping the store environment, office spaces, and public facilities immaculate.

We are seeking a highly organised, meticulous, and proactive Inventory Coordinator. To manage our back-of-house operations, streamline our stock systems, and support our frontline floor team in this freshly upgraded venue.

About the role

Supporting the Assistant Store Manager, you will step into a vital operational role where stock flow and precision are everything. You will balance strict inventory control with a hands-on approach to ensure our grocery, retail, consumables, and takeaway food categories remain seamlessly stocked across all peak seasons.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Inventory Control & Procurement: Establish and monitor optimal par levels across all store departments to maximise stock availability while keeping wastage and shrinkage to an absolute minimum.

• System Administration & Reporting: Manage pricing, inventory data, and stock takes within our online stock management software to provide accurate, data-backed margin insights to management.

• Warehousing & Logistics: Lead the receiving, safe unloading, and tight structural organisation of all delivery zones, stockrooms, cool rooms, and freezers.

• Off-Site Supply Runs: Drive out to other company sites or regional supplier depots to pick up and transport essential merchandise, ingredients, or consumables.

• Merchandising & Signage Compliance: Collaborate closely with store leaders and follow visual direction from our Retail Operations Specialist / General Manager to ensure shelf ticketing, pricing labels, and visual planograms are perfectly executed on the floor.

• Frontline Support: Lead by example by stepping out of the stockroom and onto the retail floor during busy trading waves to run checkouts, serve customers, or help out with basic food and beverage prep.

• Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict workplace health and safety practices, focusing heavily on safe manual handling, lifting techniques, and cold-chain food safety logs.

About You

To thrive in this fast-paced, remote environment, you will be a physically resilient, self-sufficient professional who takes genuine pride in bringing structure and accuracy to back-of-house logistics.

Our Essential Requirements:

• Driver's Licence: A valid Victorian Driver's Licence for off-site supply runs.

• Logistics & Compliance: Experience in stock control, warehousing, and required checks including National Police and Working with Children clearances.
